Il giorno dell’Amore
Trionfale ingresso nel cuore dell’amata delle Quattro Contrade della Città. Ciascuna di esse vestirà con i colori della Contrada, il Cavallo e il Cavaliere che all’indomani gareggeranno nella Giostra dei Bastoni. Come al primo appuntamento con l’amata ci si presenta sempre profumati, così “il vento vien vinto” dai profumi della primavera che trionfa nella città dell’amore.

Mano nella mano al mercato
Forse qualcosa si potrà trovare, forse un regalo da offrire alla propria donna, forse un attimo di reminescenza del primo incontro, forse l’amore perduto. Qui, dove l’antico mercato offre ricordi del tempo passato, i miracoli possono realmente accadere (e non sarebbe la prima volta).

Le finestre delle Belle
Se è pur facile conquistare il cuore e l’amore della Città, lo stesso non può dirsi per le fanciulle che la abitano: occorrerà battersi con i rivali manifestando tutta la propria devozione. Allora, forse, l’amore nascerà. Le fanciulle, rinchiuse nelle loro antiche case, sono guardate a vista dalle guardie dei gelosi genitori. Solo una finestra è aperta: con una fune e con astuzia e forza sarà possibile raggiungerla.

Il nemico d’Amore
Molti sono i nemici dell’Amore: i vecchi gelosi, i genitori possessivi, i giovani che sol vogliono conquistare la virtù delle fanciulle, e tanti altri ancora. Ma l’Amore, come sempre, trionferà, perché Vincit amor quemque sed numquam vincitur ipse (L’Amore vince ogni cosa e da nessuna cosa è vinto). Ma poiché questo comporta sempre lunghe e tormentate battaglie, battaglia vi sarà, anche qui e ora, fra le schiere dell’Amore e dei suoi Nemici.

Dimostrare la propria forza alla donna amata è cosa che inorgoglisce l’uomo e nel contempo sapere che il proprio amato è forte, invincibile, fa suscitare nelle donne sentimenti di protezione: “nulla potrà accadermi perché il mio uomo mi difenderà”. Certo, come abbiamo visto, i nemici contro cui misurare la propria forza sono tanti. Dimostrare la propria forza a volte diventa impresa quasi titanica.

La Carta degli Amanti
Nell’Arcano Sesto degli antichi Tarocchi appare un Cupido bendato nell’atto di lanciare contro una o più coppie di amanti i suoi strali d’amore. Coloro che saranno colpiti cadranno vittime di un bellissimo male: un amore ricambiato.

Le Chiavi del Tempo
Divenire immortali per poter vivere un’eterna giovinezza e amare per sempre? Semplice, basta sconfiggere la Morte impossessandosi delle chiavi del tempo. Questo pensò un cavaliere che sfidò la bianca Signora per vivere in eterno. Ma poi si accorse che il suo desiderio era fallace e che invecchiare accanto al proprio amore rendeva la vita degna di essere vissuta.

While it’s easy to win the heart and love of the City, the same cannot be said for the young girls that live there: you have to beat your rivals, displaying all your devotion. Then, maybe, love will blossom. The girls, closed in their antique houses, are watched over closely by the guards of jealous parents. Only one window is open: with a rope and a little skill, you might just be able to reach it.
